I am not a beer lover but I like beer during some specific time. In my past six years here, I still haven't figured out the reason why people like drinking beer straight-away after a-whole-day work in office without any want of food. The only reason could be that alcohols make you drunk and your brain could not send out any signal for your want of food...very unscientific guess.

To some extent, I don't like beer coz I always don't like the bitter taste though some people ever prefer a strong bitter one in particular by saying that that is the true flavour of beer and a sign of being a man. Everyone has own choice anyway. Fortunately, there are many beer manufacturers in the world, which means that there must be a kind of beer with taste fits you.

Maybe it's too bored here sometimes, I ever ask friends to buy different beers and take a try on them to find out which we like the most. Of course, this is the last thing that I would have done if I have other choices for fun.

Here are my top choices,

Corona Extra

Happened to get to know this from my friend who takes a try on it once, it taste very refresh and light. You will choose this if you like pure water...most important reason is that it is not bitter at all. A wedge of lime on top will make it cool choice for you in this summer.

Heineken

Strongly recommended by friends when having dumplings in a Chinese Northern Style Food restaurant...very clear without any bubbles, bland with a short aftertaste, easy to drink, strong alcohol flavour.

Asahi Super Dry

Having it once in a Japanese restaurant when felt retired from work, I feel surprisingly refresh by its rich flavour and crisp edge...must be kept in low temp and finished in a sec otherwise you will get a bit bitter when its temp going up.

Regardless of your choice, consumption should be never too much.

Already forget since when i was interested in figuring out what the Whisky is recently...when i read magazines or articles, I always came across different kinds of whisky. But Regal Chivas is the one i saw the most, especially in HK magazines. You will probably find lots of ' XXX & Chivas live concert'. To be frank, i have totally no idea about what Regal Chivas is until i get into the bottle shop one nite and found it out. Price varies from different labels. But what i'm interested is the the most famous one in the world which is Johnny Walker.

Johnny Walker, i think most of us would hear of it before. It's the oldest Whisky with different labels. As a beginner, i tried the Red label with 40% alcohol inside. Taste is not surprise, bitter. I remember one saying in a movie called '傷城', 'wine is good for drinking coz it's bitter.' For me, it's good for drinking just because you will feel faint or dizzy when you got a bit drunk but still conscious. That's the perfect feeling for me. You are faint or drunk so that you could temporarily feel relaxing and keep away from everything. But you still conscious to manage to figure out how to get home right.

I always want to find a pub where there are soft music, jazz or live performance of piano from a sexy voice from a female and i could totally enjoy my glass of drink. It's not necessary to talk too much to others coz what you have to do is just to finish you glass of drink in such a comfort environment.

Though i could not say that i like whisky, one thing i know is that i could get the feeling i want after a half glass of whisky with ice. Unlike beer, you probably have to take several bottle and bear full stomach with 'Err'..... That's true as well. Coz you might probably consume beer in exciting environment like soccer match. But you will only take a glass of whisky with ice in the place where you feel the comfort, coz whisky is designed to be taken in such a special environment.
